JETS FOR VETS
Jets for Vets is a new initiative benefiting wounded military
personnel returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. Private aircraft donors donate otherwise empty seats
on their planes to
those veterans who must travel for medical reasons.
Jets for Vets also encourages donors to provide seats to “non-conforming” relatives,
such as best friends, grandparents, and significant others who do not qualify for
Department of Defense travel benefits but whose presence at a medical facility with
a wounded veteran can have a profound therapeutic effect.
