Who We Are
FREEDOM IS NOT FREE,
a California based 501(c) 3 non-profit organization,
is proud
to serve the brave men and women
of the military and their families.
Since its establishment in 2005,
FREEDOM
IS NOT FREE
has raised funds to serve,support, and increase awareness
with
the aim of easing our heroes' and their families' burdens.
We have assisted
with travel expenses for families of fallen heroes;
purchased "burn-beds" for road
side bomb victims; helped to refurbish the
Wounded Warrior Barracks at Camp Pendleton, CA;arranged the venue and
accommodations for a surviving spouse conference; allocated
funds for the
purchase of equipment to convert conventional clothing into burn victim
"tear-aways";
provided logistical assistance and funding for the renovation of
a
brain trauma center
on Camp Pendleton; and provided funds for living expenses
for
recovering
warriors and their families facing extreme financial hardship.

led invasion of Iraq, and the military efforts in Afghanistan to uproot the terrorist
infrastructure, made headlines from the start. By 2005, however, casualty reports
were barely making page six news. The American public had settled back into the

The Patriot Advisory Board The Patriot Advisory Board serves as
an advisory body to FREEDOM IS NOT FREE's management. It assists in the promotion
of FREEDOM IS NOT FREE programs, initiatives and fund raising activities. The Patriot
Board is comprised of a diverse group of individuals with complementary personal
and professional backgrounds, skill-sets and experience. All Board members share
the passion for the mission and the willingness to make a difference.

Purple Heart Advisory Board The role of the Purple Heart Advisory
Board is to facilitate the best possible allocation of funds to serve the mission.
The Purple Heart Advisory Board is comprised of active duty and veteran Purple Heart
recipients and their survivors. The Board, made up of “those who have been there,”
determines how the funds are allocated in order to respond to those most in need
